To be eligible for membership the candidate must have passed the Institute's Part II exam and has been duly admitted as a Member of the Institute. Legally qualified candidates could be admitted as a Member after having passed the Special Member Course (SMC) or the candidate's qualification is amongst the list of exemptions granted by the Institute.
